Quick Post

Just wanted to let you guys see my progress on the quilt. It's going really well.
The Pink Squares are 8 & 1/2 inches with 2 in green strips between. There are 11 pink squares across. I havn't measured it yet, but I used our queen size bed to figured it and it was be a perfect Queen Size quilt. It's turning out really beautiful. I'm not sure if I will want to sell it! haha.
Well the hubby and I are taking his father out for breakfast at the best breakfast shop in town this fathers day morning, so I won't be working on the quilt for another few hours today. I will deffinatly post more pictures when I get farther along.
Grandma Nina & Lily,
You guys are great. Thanks so much for you push of motivation and your positive attitudes towards this for me. I look forward to reading your comments every day! Thank you both!!!

When it comes time for the batting, etc, do you do it on quilting racks?

I remember my daughter's bio-grandparents and their quilting. They set it up in the living room and spent hours each day working on them. They kept a ruler close by and constantly measured to make sure their stitches were at least 10 to an inch.

Several of their quilts were displayed in festivals. They made one of the US that had the state flower and bird on each state and a gold star where the capitol was located. It disappeared from their estate. My daughter has several of their quilts. I have one they gave me a few years before they died. I cherish it. I just wish it matched my decor!

This is going to be a beautiful quilt. I know what you mean about not wanting to sell it. That's always my problem and why I take pictures of them and put them on y blog. I hate to get rid of them. You're encouraging to start quilting some more. Been knitting a lot. Isn't quilting and crafting great for stress relief? Good for you!

Thanks for your recent comment. You're right, I should just leave a note and arrows, but I did open the door. We're so lucky to have so many friends and family, but I really love my "hardly ever" alone time. Hope you got to quilt today.
